In a glass partition wall, nobody looks at what holds the glass: the glazing bead and the small plastic parts that fix it in the aluminium profile.
A Belgian aluminium joinery manufacturer designed a new interior glass partition system and asked us to mould its plastic parts.
- an 80 mm glazing bead clip that clicks into the profile by rotation, then slides along it;
- a 50 mm locking piece that only needs to click in and hold;
- 1.8 mm walls, bevelled corners, black ABS.
Two mould versions
After the first parts were tested with the real aluminium profiles and gaskets, the client redesigned both parts and one profile. We made new moulds from the revised drawings. A short structure lets the tooling follow the product.
